Abstract

The roasting oven (1) has an extendable tray (2) running in a guide track (3) and is provided with a door (4). The door (4) carries a hollow square section support (5) for the grill spits (11). The driving motor (2) is attached to the back (6) of the over (1) and drives a hollow shaft (9) which carries a sliding shaft (10) but which rotates with the hollow shaft (9). The shaft (10) carries a sprocket at its end which fits inside the support (5). This sprocket drives a chain which drives sprockets on the end of the grill spits (11). the spits (11) are connected to these sprockets by couplings formed from square section shafts fitting in matching holes and secured by a spring loaded lever fitting in a slot in the coupling.
