Abstract

Bacteria and Actinomycetes used are e.g. Corynebacterium glutamicum, Brevibacterium flavu, Brevibacterium linens, Bacillus subtilus, Bacillus megaterium, Micrococcus lueus, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Nocardia erythropolis, Nocardia asteroiders, Streptomyces griseus, Streptomyces aureus and Microtetraspora miveoalba. The acid-decompsn. prod. is obtd. from cells or culture liq. It is prepd. e.g. by treating with H2SO4 or HCl, followed by heating. The acid-decompsn. prod. may be treated with sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, NaOH, KOH, NH4OH or alkali. since the prod. has a strong insect-attracting activity,damages caused by insects can be prevented by combining it with insecticide. The insects to be treated are Flies, Tabanus, Blattariae, Diamond-bac moth, Fruit moth and Tobacco cutworm.
