Abstract
The refrigeration device or heat pump uses a combined evaporator, expansion chamber and heat exchanger. It has an inner tube (20) with a helical rib (30) around its outside, fed from above with a fluid to be evaporated, such as freon, under pressure. Another tube (34) with fins (36) around its outside forms a helical chamber (38) which communicates with the interior through a set of narrow channels (32). An outer tube (44) forms encloses a space (46) to form a chamber for the fluid to be cooled. The freon passes through the channels (32) and impinges on the inside of the finned tube (34), forming a film (52) on the surface and vaporises, leaving through a top outlet (42). This gives very good heat exchange conditions with the fluid, such as water in the outer chamber (46).
