Abstract

Cable comprises a braided sheath which is arranged with the different pattern threads in different relative positions in successive longitudinal sections, so as to produce different patterns in the different longitudinal sections. All the pattern threads extend through the sheath without interruption over the whole length of the cable. Pref. the differently patterned longitudinal sections correspond each to a unit of length or to a multiple of this unit. The cable pref. has a core-sheath construction.
