Abstract

The washbasin has a detachable casing (1) connected to the underside of the basin and hiding the waste pipe as well as other elements. The edge of the waste pipe outlet extends downwards to form a neck (5) which ends in a flange (6). The casing (1) which is shaped like a shell and is open at the top and back, has a moulding (7) underneath its lower edge (8), a similar shape to the flange (6). The outline which protrudes inwards is U-shaped and can be slid over the flange around the neck (5) until the moulding (7) engages with the flange (6), allowing the casing to be locked vertically onto it with a downwards movement.
