Abstract

The demountable support bracket comprises a plate (24) with basally projecting tongues (25), and incorporating a half shell seat (28) for the end of the longeron. The tongues are inserted in recesses (42) which are formed by appropriately bent wall mounted straps (38, 39). Two tongues (25) of square or rectangular outline may be used. The half shell seat (28) is built onto the top of the plate (24), and the plate is stepped to obtain vertical support. The stepping is such that when viewed in vertical cross section, the plate has two vertical lengths (36, 37) interposed by an inclined length (34). The inessential top areas of the plate may be cut away (29, 30) to facilitate bending.
