Abstract

An anti-riot missile to fired by a suitable weapon, and designed to avoid injury to persons at which it is fired, has a ring shaped body consisting of different portions, one portion being flexible incorporating lines of weakness, so that it shatters on impact, but strong enough to resist centrifugal forces, with a ballast portion of heavier material, to ensure a sufficiently accurate trajectory, both together giving a suitable impact force without causing serious injury to the persons fired at. The flexible portions can be formed by zig-zag lines of weakness or slots, and the structure contains a hollow chamber for a marking or other charges. In one design, a band is wound around a hollow ring.
