Abstract

The conector block for automatic control units consists of two pairs of spring contacts that can be connected or disconnected by moving a plate. This allows testing without having to disconnect the wires clamped in the block. The wire ends are clamped by screws (13, 14 etc.) to the outer ends of spring contacts (15, 16 etc.). The inner ends of the contacts touch the moving plate (30). The plate has an insulating centre section (31) that isolates the bottom contacts from one another, and a conducting upper section (32) that electrically connects the top pair. Raising the plate isolates the top contacts from one another and allows the bottom contacts to touch.
