Abstract

The electrical connector is used to establish contact between electric connecting wires and the conductors of a printed circuit board. The connector has a houging made from an insulating material carrying several electrical terminals each having a connector part, a conductor part and a leaf spring. The connection part of each terminal is arranged at one side of the housing whilst the leaf spring part which also acts as a conductor extends into the housing. The side of the housing opposite the connection part is open so that a printed circuit board can be slotted into the opening. The electrical terminals are arranged in pairs. The leaf springs of each pair are designed to grip the contacts of the circuit board.
