Abstract
The light beam is in the above plane periodically deflected at a right angle to the picture motion. After focussing the deflected beam is directed to a stationary photocell which converts optical into electric pulses, so that the picture is horizontally scanned in lines from top to bottom, with each line passed before the photocell. The light source (1) is followed by a condenser (2) between it and the film (3). The slightly convergent beam then passes to a semitransparent mirror, which permits the beam to continue to more lenses and a reflecting prism. On return the mirror directs parts of the light to the photocell (14). A synchronisation device connects with an external television viewer.
