Abstract

A driving mirror for a vehicle, pref. mounted outside, is supported at the end of an arm (18) so that its posn. can be readily adjusted. The casing (10), which may be of plastics, is sufficiently resilient to grip the reflective surface (12), and is cup shaped, with a chamber at the rear. Inside the chamber is a plate (44) with a stem (32) behind it, passing through a clearance hole (34) with a spigot (22) at the end, fitting into the spherical head (20) of the arm, secured by a screw (40). The plate (44) is connected to the rear wall of the housing by a set of three screws (50) each with a spring (54) around it. This allows the casing to be easily moved by overcoming the spring press.
