Abstract

The air flow meter (dbt) transmits an electrical signal to an amplifying circuit which is also fed with engine operating condition data. The amplifier sends out signals alternately to two electronic computers in two branch circuits which receive a time signal (top) from the ignition circuit. The two electronic computers transmit a signal which is proportional to the product of time interval and air flow. These signals are corrected by further signals depending on engine acceleration or deceleration, and power. The final resultant signal is then transmitted to the fuel injectors (1, 3 & 2, 4) and determine the amount of the fuel injected into corresponding cylinders for each firing stroke.
