Abstract

In the addition to 2417187, a signal is gained from the crankshaft speed variations at revolution synchronised time intervals to alter the air mixture ratio in order to permit the engine to run on a weak air fuel mixture, to reduce the toxic content of the exhaust emission. The signals are now used as a measure to indicate engine fluctuations and compared with a required value corresponding to even running. The difference in signal values is then applied to an ignition timing advance-retard adjuster or fed to an electronic ignition circuit.
