Abstract

The machine bevels the edges of raw material in sheet form, and incorporates a flat table (11) supporting the sheets (13). One edge of the sheet is held in the same plane as the table edge, and an endless abrasive belt (20) runs over driving (18) and idler (19) pulleys and travels in a flat plane inclined at an acute angle to the table surface. The plane is superimposed on one running through the table edge, intersecting a plane passing through this edge and perpendicular to the plane of the table. There can be a transport mechanism moving pulleys and belt along the table edge.
