Abstract

An insulated roof has a set of suspension elements in the form of Z shaped spacers with overlapping corrugated asbestos cement panels laid across their tops, and with further corrugated asbestos cement panels suspended from their bottoms. Both tops and bottoms are extended with a return flange giving extra stiffeness, and inside each U shaped bottom part is inserted an inverted U shaped supporting cross member. One end of the asbestos cement panels is supported by this cross member, and securing screws are inserted nearby. The opposite bottom face of the Z member has an angle support attached to it, on which rests the other end of each asbestos cement panel, similarly with securing screws nearby. A glass fibre insulation layer is positioned between the corrugated panels.
