Abstract

A packet is used to protect valuable documents. A sliding clasp fastener (8, 9) with two sliders (14, 15) is used to close the access to the packet. The sliders are moved to the centre of the front face of the packet, so that after the top part of the packet is folded over it is impossible to touch the sliders. Folding over the top part brings two rows of eyelets (21, 23) into alignment. Strips of material (27, 28) which stick together face to face by pressure alone hold the eyelets in the correct relative position while a second fold is made. This lines up a third row of eyelets (25) with the others. The three sets of eyelets can then be laced up with metal wire. A piece of plastics strip can be inserted as a stiffener adjacent to the fastener.
