Abstract

Apovincaminic and desoxyvincaminic acid amides and their salts of formula (I) are new: (where either A and B = H and R = H or a group (II) or A and B together form a bond and R is a group (I)-(CH2)n- m = 1-4 and n = 0-3). I are used for treatment of disorders caused by anoxia, esp. of the central nervous system. I are prepd. from an apovincaminic or desoxyvincaminic acid halide by treatment with the amine RNH2. a nonpolar solvent opt. contg. an acid acceptor e.g. a tert org. base.
