Abstract

The device to support heavy loads and permit a horizontal translation uses three parallelogram frames having a common upright. The outer two parallelogram frames are constrained by a common cable with reaction and compensation diagonal sections (10, 11), the cable passing over a pulley (12) at the upper common point of the three frames. The lower members (13, 14) of the action and reaction parallelograms terminate in enlarged portions (15, 16). The inner upright (2) of the action parallelogram frame is fixed to a vertical support.
