Abstract

The system washes and dries vessels after filling and sealing, being particularly for bottles and ampoules in rows in contact with each other in boxes. As the boxes are transported in a continuous flow, jets of water (8) are projected onto the vessels from overhead downwards, followed by jets of compressed air aimed parallel to the lines of contact between them. As the boxes pass through the washing and drying zones, temperatures of water and air can be arranged to vary, preferably increasing progressively. The levels of the water and air jets can be adjustable to suit the vessel dimensions.
