Abstract

The magnetic memory employs an array of annular magnetic memory elements, which can be switched between two different magnetic states, with the control conductors for selectively switching the memory elements in the form of several segments each passing through the centre of a different memory element. The control conductor segments are formed on a common circuit board substrate in predetermined fixed positions relative to one another. Pref. each memory element forms a closed magnetic circuit and the control conductor segments may be formed on two different substrates positioned adjacent and parallel to one another.
