Abstract

The machine for slicing soft fruit comprises a slide (4), a cage of parallel blades (5), and the electric motor (8) which are mounted on a 'U' sectioned block (1,2). The slide (4) is used manually to push the produce against the blades. The blades are oscillated by the electric motor in the direction parallel to their cutting edges. The blade-cage (5) may be mounted between return spring (7) and a mobile arm (6) which is activated by the electric motor (8). Two in-line blade cages (5,12) may be utilised, with the trailing cage (12) bisecting the slices produced by the first cage. The electric motor oscillates both cages with opposed phasing. Alternatively the blades of the trailing cage (12) may be perpendicular to those of the first cage.
