Abstract

A Foucault current rotary machine used as a dynamometer has a fixed frame, a stator with an induction circuit and a rotor integral with a shaft or axle linked to the moving machine whose characteristics are to be measured. The unit formed by the shaft (6) and the rotor (7) is supported in rotation by the frame (1) in conjunction with outer bearings (2, 3). The stator (10) turns on the shaft (6) and its mounting includes a set of inner bearings (14). The outer bearings consist of two pairs of ball bearings (4a, 4b, 5a, 5b). The inner set of bearings consists of two ball bearings in oblique contact (15a, 15b) and a roller bearing (16). A lever connects the stator to a measurement device.
