Abstract

The valve body (1) has an inlet passage at right angles to the outlet. The outlet is cone shaped with the diameter increasing towards the outlet flange (2s). A control piston slides axially in the outlet through a hole in the valve seat formed by a disc (1 p). The conical outlet is filled with a cone with a central hole built up from layers of wires. The wires in adjacent layers are arranged at right angles to each other. In addition the wires in every second layer are staggered. This provides a tortuous path for the fluid flowing through the valve and reduces the sound pressure level by 10.
