Abstract

The valve has a lower portion (5) which fits into a seating (6) in the bottom of the tank and supporting an upper portion (7), so that when the valve is lifted, water is discharged through the outlet formed by the seating (6). An operating device on the top of the tank consists of an upper knob (10) attached by a spindle to the upper valve portion (7) and a disc (9) underneath connected to the valve operating system, so that when the upper knob is pulled only a reduced amount of water is discharged, and when the disc (9) is pulled, a larger amount is discharged. The valve is operated by a release arrangement (23, 24) and a float (14) controlling the quantity of water.
