Abstract

Compsn. compromises a cosmetic lotion contg. benzaldehyde together with emollients such as tincture of benzoin, Proving rose water or olive oil. Many previous compsns. are ineffective. Creams are unsuitable because fatty material has already accumulated because of blockage in the skin. In the above compsns. which give excellent results, the benzaldehyde activates the irrigating functions of the dermis and the underlying generating layer. The compsns. pref. also contains 90 degrees alcohol, A specified compsn. contains 50% benzaldehyde, 30% alcohol, 10% tincture of benzoin and 10% Proving rose water or olive oil.
