Abstract

The implosion generator produces an acoustic impulse. The generator produces a main liquid jet which is introduced at very high speed along a pre-determined trajectory into a liquid body. The liquid jet is driven by a magnetic field which is practically stopped for a brief moment. The speed selected is sufficiently high to produce a hollow space with subsequently an implosion being produced. The main liquid jet is subdivided into at least two branch liquid jets with the branch jets being diverted into a plane about vertical to the trajectory of the main jet. The branch liquid jets are offset in relation to each other by about 90 degrees.
