Abstract

The heat pump has a defrosting resistance fitted between the evaporator vanes. The resistance can be energised via a defrosting thermostat (I) operating as a function of the temperature. The pump can be arranged not to operate in cold weather or summer periods. It is for use only for heating during the winter.
