Abstract

The plastic rotating bolt for detachable fittings is used to join together two sections of a piece of furniture. The bolt consists of two discs (1, 2) some distance one from the other, each one forming a single piece with a sloping section (3, 4) and linked together by a block (5). One disc (1) has a flange around it which limits the depth to which the bolt is sunk into a hole on one of the furniture sections. On the visible face of this disc is a slot into which a screwdriver can be inserted to tighten the bolt. Between the block (5) and the two sloping sections (3, 4) is an area, one part of which (9) is hachured, the other (10) not.
