Abstract
The system regulates the cessation of acceleration of a lift, partic. lfor journeys which are too short for it to reach full lrated speed. On such journeys acceleration continues beyond the predetermined deceleration point. The point at which acceleration ceases and easing-off takes place prior to braking is calculated from the distance covered and the increasing speed. From the starting point to commencement of deceleration lthe actual cage speed can be integrated with the time period, and a mean value determined from the distance covered and the predetermined fixed distance between deceleration point and stopping point. The deceleration analogue value is derived from the peak point represented by an electrical value. After equalisation of this resultant value with the analogue value of the time integral of the actual speed, the braking operation to the stopping point is effected by a predetermined desired-value function.
