Abstract

PURPOSE: To determine optimum set deceleration and set speed curves of a vehicle by constituting a method for stopping a vehicle at a fixed position such that deceleration of one of brake notches is measured and the other brake notches are presumed from the measurement.
CONSTITUTION: A signal which is proportional to the rotational speed of a wheel is detected by a pulse generator 1 and is applied to a microcomputer system 3 through an interface 2 such as a counter. The microcomputer 3 also receives signals from a clock device 7 and outputs a predetermined control signal which is applied to a brake system 5 and a power running device 6 through an interface 4 such as a relay mechanism and so on. The brake system 5 has a plurality of brake notches, and a zone is assigned to each notch. Deceleration of a certain brake notch is measured, and deceleration of the other brake notches are presumed from the measurement. A set speed curve for a set stop point is calculated based on the presumption.
