Abstract

The liquid-manure channels (1, 1') are parallel, with the space (2) between them for the pigs or cattle, and are covered by a grille. Each channel contains a paddle-wheel (4, 4') which rests on the bottom (7) of each channel (1, 18). The paddle-wheels (4, 4') are mounted on each side on a bearing bracket which extends downwards from a horizontal, rectangular frame (9). At the corners of the frame (9) are guide-wheels (10) rotating on vertical axes, and running along the vertical walls of the channels. The frame has a cross-piece (11) in the middle, to which is fixed a cable-pulley (12) which runs from the crosspieces (11) over guide-rollers (13), and over a drive-roller (15) positioned between tension rollers (14), from one paddle-wheel (4) to the other. At the front and back of the frame is a downward-slanting arm (19, 19) on which a rod pivots (20).
