Abstract

The standard base (2) for the pneumatic module is square or rectangular. It has a common air supply inlet (2c) in the form of a passage through the block. Several recesses (2d) machined in the top face of the base have passages (2b) communicating with the supply inlet and other passages (2a) lead from the recesses to the top surfaces. Inserts (10) are placed in the recesses to selectively blank off unwanted passages and have flow outlet slots (10d). Control units (4, 5) are bolted over the inserts and bridges continue a circuit between two bases.
