Abstract

In a pyrometer with a body, on which at least one primary temp. indicator is mounted and which is heated to high temp. by radiation from a remotely situated source of heat energy, a temp. adjusting device is provided for holding at least a part of the body in the vicinity of the primary temp. indicator and pref. the whole of the body at the same high temp. as that of the primary temp. indicator. Provides a pyrometer for which errors arising from heat transfer between the thermo elements and the body of the pyrometer and from the surface emisolvity of the body whose temp. is to be measured, are reduced.
