Abstract

The device for use in assembling scaffolding or support frameworks has a support with a hook shaped portion defining an opening in which a cylindrical member may be received. The support is integral with a member to be joined to the cylindrical member and has a pivoted locking cam which is spring biassed to a position in which the size of the opening is smallest. The interior face of the support has a longitudinal rib which is received in a groove on the exterior of the cylindrical element. The cam has convex cylindrical surface whose centre is distinct from the pivot axis of the cam.
