Abstract

The locking collar for a deformable tubular member comprises a metallic band (2), one end of which is slidable over the inner surface of the band. The other end (5) of the band is folded over and provided with a threaded hole which receives the shank of a tightening screw. A further folded portion (6) of the band is provided with a slot (15) through which the screw passes, the screw having a collar adjacent its head which bears on the longitudinal edges of the slot. The folded portion (6) of the band is provided with reinforcing ribs (18).
