Abstract

The circular protuberances on the top surface of the floor covering have a diameter between six and ten times the thickness of the floor-covering. The protuberances are spaced at a distance corresponding approximately to their diameter. The height of the protuberances is between one half and two millimetres, preferably one millimetre. The floor covering is produced on a heated roller most of which is covered by a continuous perforated sheet kept tight by a second roller. The rubber or other mixture is presed onto the perforated sheet by means of a compression strip which may be held by the roller.
