Abstract

An arrangement to provide graphical reproduction of alpha-numeric characters. A cathode ray beam controlled by control computer is used with a drum with a photosensitive film to provide a plotting facility for digitally stored data. The drum (11) containing the film may be indexed to provide a facility for printing alpha-numeric characters. The cathode ray gun (12) is mounted on a lead screw (15) and is supplied form a central controller (13). - The data is stored on magnetic type and is coupled to a central computer. A peripheral micrro-programmed control computer provides the necessary instructions regarding position control, and a disc memory contains all necessary information for the positioning process.
