Abstract

The fastener comprises two components (14) of either the sympathetic magnetic nature, or including one ferro-magnetic component. When used on folders which fasten by adjacent parallel edges the magnetic components may be installed as bar strips (14) on the conjoining panel edges (15). Alternatively when used on flap fasteners the components may be placed on the flap and in the appropriate position on the counter panel resp. The goods may be of a material that is suitable for thermo-soldering. All tucks, folds and gussets necessary to secure the magnets in position may be formed by thermo-soldering (16, 17).
