Abstract

The flexible coaxial junction has an internal conductor (1) and an external conductor (3) which are separated by an insulator (2). The external conductor is in the form of a coiled metal spring, with the coil turns in contact with one another. The coiled metal spring is pref covered with tin, such that the tin-plating provides the junction with a certain amount of rigidity after it is placed in position between two circuits. The insulator (2) may be of synthetic material, eg 'Teflon' (RTM), or it may be a silicon resin.
