Abstract

Vane pump or motor with vanes sliding in radial grooves of a rotor, the outer edges of which vanes slide against a stroke or thrust producing surface. At the base of each groove, a strengthening block (26) is firmly fixed, and which extends over the whole thickness of the groove, but only over a part of its width and height. The strengthening block (26) is square in shape, and is pressed into the groove. It has two holes both extending in a radial direction, into which springs (29, 30) are arranged, and which effect an outwardly exerting force on the vane (33). On the inner end of the vane (33), a rectangular recess (32) is provided into which the strengthening block can enter with clearance.
