Abstract

The sink unit consists of a steel-alloy sheet with a hollow forming the basin and a shallow trough equipped with an outlet forming a waste-disposal section, this trough being devised in such a way that the upper edge of the hollow forming the basin and the upper edge of the trough are on approximately the same level, being separated by a cross-piece at a lower level. The whole unit is made from a single sheet of material, thus eliminating the need for welding and making the unit cheaper to produce. This system can also be used for units with two basins or with a single basin and a drainer.
