Abstract

The automatic item distributor has a series of magazines (10) in which the items are accommodated in vertical stacks (16). An ejector mechanism (17) discharges the items from the magazine top, and means are included (13) for lifting the stacks progressively as the items are dispensed. Other mechanisms move the complete magazines, delivering a fresh one into the dispensing position as soon as the preceding one is empty. The magazines can be moved by two chains (5, 6), one above the other and hooking into engagement with them, and they can run on roller tracks. The chains can form two closed loops, held taut by sprockets (3, 4) on shafts (2).
