Abstract

The safety belt is for use when working at heights. It has a ventral portion and a portion passing under the users buttocks, together with straps and a sliding dorsal ring. The ventral and buttock portions and one end of the respective strap are fixed at one end to a link (1). The link has a locking device (2) for the other end of the strap (5), thus allowing adjustment of strap length and tension. The link can be a flat component formed by a rectangular frame with a cross-bar forming two openings. One is square and forms a ring to which the belt portions and strap are attached, on three sides. The cross-bar supports the locking device for the other strap end.
