Abstract

The hand grip for a screw-action shut-off valve has the form of a hollow prismatic cap (10, 12, provided at one end with a transverse wall. The cap is connected to the valve spindle by a drive member securable to the spindle and having an external for fitting the interior of the cap so that latter can be pushed onto the drive member. The grip is generally polygonal, internally as well as externally, and may be simply made of deep-drawn sheet metal while the more complex formed drive member is a plastic moulding.
