Abstract

The machine tool drive arrangement is for the machining of metal plates with a tool head fastened to a carrier plate which can be moved towards the workpiece and away from it. Two connecting links (36, 38) couple the carrier plate (12) to a power source. The links are arranged symmetrically to an imaginary plane which runs through the centre of the carrier plate (12). The power source consists of a hydraulic cylinder. The two connecting links are coupled over quadrant links to an adjustable cylinder piston and an adjustable connecting rod. The quadrant links are shaft mounted in a frame.
