Abstract

The converter high power transistor structure is connected to one end of a main input winding with a tapping, and a second, low power transistor structure is connected to the other end of this winding. This results in the voltage, applied to the converter, making the two transistor structures consecutively conducting, and the core being magnetised in opposite senses, while a rectifier circuit connected to the output winding is conducting only at the same time as the high power transistor structure. The first transistor structure control electrode of one or several converters is connected to a control circuit, so that the first structure is tripped from its conducting state before the core is saturated, and is again made conducting immediately after the second structure is blocked.
