Abstract

The boat trailer has a main frame member (1) linking the towbar end with the wheels (3, 4). The towbar has a sloping tubular shaft (16) which slides over an inner (18) shaft and which has pegs to set the shafts in any extension. By setting the trailer on its back, supported on the floor by the pads (6, 7) which normally secure the hull, the trailer can be turned into a simple ramp. A winch (18) at the towbar and then pulls the boat onto the ramp. for transport the trailer sections are turned over again. The ramp can be set at an inclination steep enough to pull the boat onto a car roof rack with a minimum of effort.
