Abstract

Clay is applied for beauty care and bodily hygiene by means of a sheet of tarlatan, a sheet of carboard having a density of 120 mg/m2 known as 'Bulle' (RTM) paper, a non-woven cellulose-base fabric known as 'Intissel' (RTM) paper, powdered clay inserted between the 'Bulle' paper and the 'Intissel' paper, and a seam on all four sides to close the whole assembly. The length and width of the pack may vary according to use. The quantity of powdered clay inserted is sufficient to obtain a paste having a thickness >=50 mm. when it has been soaked with water. The 'Intissel' paper allows high penetration of the paste, while the 'Bulle' paper acts as a barrier to the paste and is reinforced by the tarlatan.
