Abstract

The hod is supported on the rear of the tractor by means of the lugs (3) and (9). The power take off from the tractor takes the power to the pulley (11). The pulley drives the pulley (12) through the belt (13). The pulley (12) drives an endless chain (5) which is laid across the top of the hod and over a pulley (9), then down to the bottom of the hod, through guides (8). The chain is fitted with lugs (6) which pick up the silage and discharge it onto the chute (17). The angle of the shute is controlled by the tractor driver. A reversing mechanism (14) allows the output to be controlled.
