Abstract

The cone crusher has a feed control system so that the correct amount of material can be fed in through an overhead hopper, onto the cone, for optimum results. Over the outlet from the base of the hopper is positioned a fixed circular plate, and also a plate which can be rotated about the vertical axis of the hopper and machine. Each disc has a set of three curved openings through it, in a spiral arrangement. These openings are arranged to have a given overlap, so that in one position they coincide, but in another position, after rotation of the moving plate by a tangential piston of an actuator piston, they partially overlap.
